BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Vito Coppola addresses relationship status after Ellie Leach romance rumours

Strictly Come Dancing fans were often quick to pair Vito Coppola with his celebrity dance partner Ellie Leach not just on the dance floor, forcing them to continually confirm they were just great friends.

Now, Vito has said that he isn't focused on a relationship right now. The 31-year-old managed to clinch the Glitterball trophy with former Coronation Street actress Ellie during the 2023 edition of the BBC One dance contest.

But despite rumours of a romance between the pair, he has now insisted that he just feels "very lucky" to be where he is in his career and just wants to make that the focus of his life at the moment.

He told OK! Magazine: "At the moment, I am, as Lady Gaga says, in love with my art, with my passion, with my job. I'm very lucky with my career. So at the moment, it's just me, myself and I."

But the professional dancer and TV star does like to treat himself to solo date nights on occasion where he lights candles and cooks himself a special meal where he spends his time reflecting on how "grateful" he is for all that he has been able to achieve.

He said: "Sometimes I treat myself. "I like to prepare nicely, even though it's just myself, with a bit of decoration and food, and I light a candle and I say to myself, 'OK, I'm grateful for this, I'm grateful for this life, I'm grateful for this food.'

"I think of my family, because food always brings me to my family. I just feel very, very happy and grateful, actually. So sometimes I have a date with myself."
