Gorka Marquez shares honest response over BBC Strictly Come Dancing future after saying 'no more'

Gorka Marquez has addressed whether he'll return to Strictly Come Dancing next year after his early exit during the most recent series. The dancer has been one of the pros in the BBC One dance contest since 2016 when the hit show was in its 14th series.

Over the years, Gorka has found himself in the final three times - with Alexandra Burke, Maisie Smith and Helen Skelton - but is yet to clinch the title and take home the coveted Glitterball trophy.

And during the 2023 series, the 33-year-old sadly found himself out of the competition early on alongside his latest celebrity dance partner Nikita Kanda. The pair were the second couple to be eliminated from Strictly this year, which came to an end on Saturday (December 16).

The couple faced elimination for the second consecutive week on the BBC show after scoring 21 with their movie week jive, channelling 90s film Clueless. BBC Asian Network presenter Nikita and her professional dance partner faced Love Island star Zara McDermott and her partner Graziano Di Prima.

But it was decided by the judges that after a "few mistakes" Nikita and Gorka would leave the competition. It meant Gorka was able to head back home to be with his family in Greater Manchester as he had to leave just days after his fiancee Gemma Atkinson gave birth to their second child together.
