BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Chris McCausland reveals Dianne Buswell's vow after health update
Chris McCausland has revealed a vow from Dianne Buswell weeks before she fell ill less than 24 hours before their latest Strictly Come Dancing performance.
It was previously reported that the professional dancer was unwell and unable to take part in final rehearsals ahead of her and celebrity dance partner Chris' epic performance last Saturday night (November 9). Dianne has since confirmed she was ill as she took to the dancefloor and hailed Chris for pulling her through.
It came as they closed week eight of the BBC One dance contest with the impressive jazz-inspired performance featuring a "poignant" blackout moment, imitating Chris' own experience with blindness, with him since saying it was to put viewers in the dark and be surprised by what they saw afterwards - which was an epic spin in which Dianne laid across his shoulders.

It was later confirmed during Sunday night's (November 10) results show that Chris and Dianne had made it through to week nine of the competition, which just so happens to be Strictly's annual Blackpool special and will see the eight remaining couples perform live in the iconic Tower Ballroom.
But speaking about Dianne's bout of ill health, Chris wrote in his latest 'Strictly diary' with The Telegraph: "Saturday was not without its issues though, as Dianne was feeling under the weather. I remember asking her quite early on in our partnership what would happen if she was too ill to dance, and she told me that she had never missed a dance due to illness in her life.
"Well, she certainly powered through and I take my hat off to her for being able to perform to that level on live TV – oh
