BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell break silence after 2024 series win
Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell have spoken out for the first time after winning Strictly Come Dancing 2024. The pair emerged victorious following the final on Saturday night (December 14).
The comedian and his professional dance partner lifted the coveted Glitterball trophy following a public vote as the series celebrated 20 years on screen this year.
After months of dancing, Chris was praised for his three routines – which included the couple’s favourite dance, their final show dance and the routine best enjoyed by the judges.

Chris and Dianne fought off stiff competition during the sparkling grand final. from Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec, JB Gill and Lauren Oakley and Sarah Hadland and Vito Coopla to take the title for the 22nd series and lift the coveted Glitterball trophy.
After the three performances each, the scores given by the judges saw, Chris and Dianne received a total score of 116 points out of a possible 120, putting them bottom of the leaderboard, while JB and Lauren bagged and Tasha and Aljaz both bagged near-perfect 119 points and Sarah and Vito earned 118 points.
Following their win, a video was shared to Strictly's social media channels as they got Chris and Dianne to react to their win straight after the live show came to an end.
Chris started by saying: "Listen, thank you to everyone. This is just beyond words. Thank you to everyone that voted. It's just remarkable." Dianne echoed: "It is remarkable. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts. This was a dream, and the dream has come true!"
She added: "You made that happen, Chris," but Chris said: "You made it happen!"
