BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Angela Rippon breaks silence on 'fuming' claims and was 'really upset'

Angela Rippon has addressed claims she was left 'fuming' during her latest stint in the Strictly Come Dancing ballroom. The veteran broadcaster was seen on Saturday night (November 4) competing in week seven of the BBC One dance contest as it reached the halfway mark.

Sporting a blue dress with a sparkly bodice, Angela glided around the floor with her professional dance partner Kai Widdrington during their elegant waltz. to Fascination by Nat King Cole before picking up a score of 28 from the judges.

And while Anton Du Beke said she was "beautiful and elegant", he noted the routine was "a little abrupt" as her side steps were not wide enough. Meanwhile, Craig Revel Horwood added that her footwork was "a little wobbly", and Motsi Mabuse encouraged her to push herself more.

And the slight criticism of Angela took viewers by surprise while others suggested the 79-year-old was left "fuming" following her feedback from the judging panel.
