Teenage boy stabbed to death near school named as tributes pour in

A teenager who was stabbed to death outside a primary school has been named as tributes pour in. The 15-year-old, who was attacked in Horsforth, Leeds, at around 3pm yesterday (November 7) has been named locally as Alfie Lewis.

Police have launched a murder investigation, with another teenager being questioned by detectives yesterday. It has been reported that Alfie was waiting to pick up another child from St Margaret's Primary School, on Town Lane, when the incident unfolded.

A Go Fund Me page has been launched in for Alfie's family, with more than £1,800 raised so far. Tributes have been left to the teenager on the page, Leeds Live reports.

One grieving friend posted: "There are hundreds of his friends and a family in absolute agony who need some help to get through this loss, even if it’s just a little." Another posted: "If only tonight you could see how many people loved and appreciated your presence! You will be missed millions. Fly High Alfie Lewis. You never deserved this, you were too good for this world."

The Go Fund Me page says: "Alfie was a kind and thoughtful boy who had all of his friend’s best interests at heart. He was loving, mischievous, adventurous and, as such, extremely popular. He was everything a 15 year old child should be and his life was senselessly taken from him before he had the chance to grow into it.

"His loss is felt deeply by the whole of Horsforth. A lovely, kind, funny, mischievous, brave and generous young boy lost his life
