BBC Strictly Come Dancing in for 'huge upset' if one star 'doesn't win'

Strictly Come Dancing could be in for a 'huge upset' if one star doesn't win this year's series. The final of the BBC One dance contest is now just over a week away.

However, before the end of the competition, there is the semi-final which is set to take place live this Saturday night (December 7). Taking part will be Tasha Ghouri and Aljaz Skorjanec, Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell, JB Gill and Lauren Oakley, Pete Wicks and Jowitz Przystal and Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola.

The remaining five couples will take to the dancefloor this weekend for the competition’s semi-final, where our couples will each perform two dances - having only performed one every other week of the dance show.

Chris and Dianne will dance the Charleston to When You’re Smiling by The Blue Vipers Of Brooklyn as well as a Viennese Waltz to Nothing Else Matters by Metallica, while Sarah and Vito will perform a Tango to Big Love by Fleetwood Mac and a Jive to I’m So Excited by The Pointer Sisters.

After topping the leaderboard last weekend, JB and Lauren will dance a Salsa to Red Alert by Basement Jaxx as well as a Paso Doble to Requiem for a Tower by Clint Mansell and completing this weekend's line-up, Pete and Jowita will perform an Argentine Tango to Bittersweet by Symphony The Verve and a Foxtrot to Beyond The Sea by Bobby Darin.
