BBC Breakfast's Sally Nugent apologises to co-star as she asks 'are you alright?'

BBC Breakfast Sally Nugent swiftly supported colleague Jon Kay as he shared a personal revelation from his youth. The pair returned to our screens Tuesday morning, delivering the day's headline stories from the iconic red sofa.

In one segment, they welcomed sports correspondent John Watson, who recently argued that English cricketer James Anderson remained unsold in the Indian Premier League auction.

The 42-year-old bowler was on offer for approximately £10,000, yet none of the ten franchises opted to sign him.

Meanwhile, young talent Vaibhav Suryavanshi entered the record books as the youngest player to be snapped up in the auction. The Rajasthan Royals bought him for 11 million rupees (close to £104,000).

His claim to fame came when he notched up a 58-ball century for India Under-19s against Australia U19s in an unofficial Test match in Chennai, reports the Express.

John remarked: "It's amazing how the youngest player in the auction has been bought, yet with all that experience that James Anderson has, no one fancied him."

A stunned Jon asked, "13? " To which John replied, "Yes, 13, and he is obviously a hugely talented player, but even that, with that kind of reputation he has at such a young age, to be paying that much for a 13-year-old does seem crazy."

Sally quickly interject: "Can I just say James Anderson - I feel a little bit sorry for him. It's kind of like being in school when you're the last one to be picked and you're just standing there and no one wants you."

Jon quipped, "I wouldn't know, Sal." Sally responded with laughter and exclaimed, "Well, I would. It's quite sad."

Jon then made an admission, interjecting, "You're giving me flashbacks now, Sal. " This prompted Sally to issue an apology, saying,
