Bank Holiday weekend weather forecast for Greater Manchester in full

It's nearly the bank holiday weekend, and for many, a chance to relax and enjoy a few extra days off work.

As spring approaches, we're all hoping to see the sun come out and spend some of those precious days off in the great outdoors - but as Mancunians know, sometimes the weather has other ideas.

Following a wet and windy week, Mancs might be expecting the worst for their long weekend. But forecasters say we could see the sun break through over the bank holiday period, although the weather remains 'changeable'.

The overall outlook for the weekend from the Met Office is: "Staying changeable through the Easter weekend, with scattered showers and sunny spells on Saturday.

"Turning drier on Easter Sunday with lighter winds. Uncertainty on Monday with rain or showers possible."

You can find the full bank holiday forecast below.

It looks like an unpredictable start to the weekend, as the Met Office say we should expect a mixture of sunny spells and blustery scattered showers for Good Friday. These are expected to turn heavy and thundery at times.

Temperatures are expected to remain around average, with a maximum of 12 °C.

If you're planning to get outside, Saturday is your best bet for a dry and sunny day. Forecasters say we can expect a cloudy morning changing to sunny intervals into the afternoon.

Temperatures are expected to remain roughly the same, with highs of 13°C.

Easter Sunday is set to start off cloudy, but by 1pm we can expect to see some sunshine breaking through. This is expected to last until the evening, when clouds set back in.

Temperatures will see highs of 14°C.

While we may not see as much sun as on Saturday
