More heavy rain forecast in Greater Manchester after Met Office weather warning

More heavy rain showers are forecast in our region today following a yellow Met Office weather warning.

The warning was issued yesterday for strong winds until 10pm last night (April 15) amid a barrage of wet and windy weather. There was even some prediction of snowfall on higher grounds to the east of Manchester near the Peak District.

Today (Tuesday), more heavy rain is forecast late this morning and into the early afternoon. After sunny spells to start with, showers will then fall over our region with some turning heavy from around 1pm, according to the Met Office.
