'Unsettled' weather forecast for Greater Manchester after Easter weekend

'Unsettled' weather conditions are forecast for Greater Manchester after the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.

After our region enjoyed some pleasant sunshine over the long weekend, wetter and windier conditions returned on Monday. Met Office forecasters are now predicting a period of unsettled weather through this week and into next weekend.

In Greater Manchester, a mix of sunshine and showers are forecast most days. Today (Tuesday) is set to be mainly overcast, with some light showers forecast for this evening.

Temperatures will reach highs of around 13C this afternoon. Tomorrow is forecast to be the wettest day in our region with some heavy downpours expected.

The mercury will reach around 13C. On Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, more unsettled conditions are predict with a mix of cloudy, sunny and rainy weather.

It will feel warm on Friday and Saturday with temperatures reaching highs of 16C. On the outlook for the week in the north west of England, the Met Office said: "Unsettled through the week.

"Staying fairly unsettled in the coming days with spells of rain and showers. Light winds at first, but turning increasingly windy from Friday with a chance of coastal gales."
