Baltimore Ravens: John Harbaugh slammed over critical decision in Bills loss by analyst

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh has come under pressure from ESPN analyst Ryan Clark regarding his decision in the 4th quarter of their loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

The Baltimore Ravens suffered something of a devastating loss on Sunday as they lost at home to the Buffalo Bills. Now there is no shame in losing to the Bills, the team that many believe are the best team in the league and the favourites for the Super Bowl, however it’s the manner in which they lost that is the concerning part.

The Ravens did at one point lead the game 20-3 during the 2nd quarter, and were looking pretty comfortable in the grand scheme of things, moving the ball along the ground with the likes of quarterback Lamar Jackson, as well as running back J.K Dobbins continuing his comeback from a devastating ACL and MCL injury that kept him sidelined for all of 2021 by scoring two touchdowns in some wet conditions in Baltimore.

As for the defense, any time that you can keep a high-powered offense like the Bills quiet for a large part of the game the way they did, you have to feel confident about yourself, however that confidence didn’t last the whole way as the Bills tied the game in the 3rd quarter.

And perhaps it was the fact that they were starting to shake a little bit that head coach John Harbaugh decided that rather than going for a field goal when the Ravens were knocking on the door late in the game, he would try and score a touchdown instead.

Whatever the logic behind the plan though, it didn’t work out as Jackson ended up handing the ball over after something of a busted play.
