John Terry slams former Manchester United star Roy Keane after refusing selfie with NFL fan

Former Chelsea captain John Terry criticised former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane for refusing to pose for a selfie with a fan at an NFL fixture at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.

Keane, who regularly appears on TV as a pundit for both ITV and Sky Sports, attended the highly anticipated showdown between Green Bay Packers and New York Giants. Keane is a fan of the sport and was keen to watch the action unfold without being disturbed.

However, such is his popularity, the former United man was soon noticed by a fellow fan who wanted to have his picture taken with him. Keane, though, was in no mood to pose for the camera, telling the man to get out of his way and leave him alone, all while shaking his head, seemingly in disbelief that he had been disturbed.

The video capturing the incident went viral, with Keane renowned for being an entertaining figure, who often leaves TV viewers in hysterics over his infamous rants and opinions. It was later claimed that Keane told the fan to revisit him at half-time and ask for the selfie then, but it remains unknown if that actually happened.

Whether the fan attempted to convince Keane for a selfie for a second time or not, former England defender Terry criticised Keane, describing his actions as "poor."

"It takes two seconds to have a picture with the fans," Terry posted on his Twitter page, replying to a tweet about the incident shared by ITV presenter Laura Woods. "I think this is poor!"

Woods had initially shared a small clip of Keane's refusal to pose for a selfie, writing: "My favourite part of Sunday. Don't ask Roy for a selfie at a game."
