Atletico Madrid reveal Celtic ticket allocation for glamour Champions League clash as punters plan Spanish trip

Atletico Madrid have told Celtic fans have been told how many tickets they will be scrambling for in the Champions League.

The Estadio Wanda Metropolitano will play host to the Premiership champions on matchday 4 in November as Brendan Rodgers' side look to make their way out of a Group E section that also includes Dutch champions Feyenoord and Italian heavyweights Lazio. Fans will already have looked to Expedia for the best travel deals but now the Spanish capital club have let them know how many away briefs will be on offer to them.

An allocation of 3,431 tickets will be provided after it was revealed that the La Liga side's first home match in the Champions League against Feyenoord will grant visitors from Rotterdam just shy of 3,500. It won't be a cheap excursion for those travelling as away supporters are being charged 55 Euros (£47.22) for a ticket.

Spanish police authorities are set to make Atletico's game against Feyenoord a high-risk match and introduce extra security measures after several incidents involving the club from the Netherlands over the years.
