Athletes race Roon the Watter during Gatehouse Gala Week

The Roon the Watter six mile fun run took place at Gatehouse as part of Gala Week on Tuesday, August 1.

There was an amazing turnout of around 100 adults and more than 180 children who all put their running shoes on to support the popular annual race.

The first man home was William Nash from New Galloway in 33.25 and Lauren Craig from Kirkcudbright was the first lady in 39.58.

Erica Ross was first in the youth section with Josh Stewart taking the honours in the junior section.

Organisers would like to thank everyone who either took part in the race or helped out in any way and gala queen Cara Knox and her entourage for presenting the trophies.
