Arsenal urged to target Gabriel Jesus as Man City youngsters tipped to emulate Phil Foden success

Inter Milan have been touted as a possible destination for Jesus, with the Italian champions said to have held a long-term interest in the Brazilian, but Ferdinand believes Arsenal should make a move for him: “If I was Arsenal, I would go and buy Gabriel Jesus,” he told his YouTube channel.

Shaun Wright-Phillips believes Pep Guardiola can steer City duo Cole Palmer and James McAtee down the same successful path as Phil Foden.

The City boss ignored calls for the Stockport-born playmaker to be allowed to move away on loan in order to obtain first-team minutes, instead choosing to keep him at the club as he looked to integrate him into the first team.

As a result, Foden has developed into one of the best young players in the world and Wright-Phillips insists Guardiola can guide Palmer and McAtee down the same path.

He said: "I've been very impressed with them both, especially Cole Palmer. With [James] McAtee, we've just seen flashes of what he's capable of, so the more he plays the better he will become.
