Southampton 1-4 Man City highlights and reaction as Foden and Mahrez book FA Cup semi-final spot
Manchester City are through to the FA Cup semi-finals after defeating Southampton 4-1.
The result doesn't quite tell the full story of the match, though, as City once again struggled against the Saints who pressed high and had plenty of chances that they just didn't take.
Raheem Sterling gave the Blues an early lead but Saints still took the fight to their opponents and deservedly drew level due to an Aymeric Laporte own-goal on the cusp of half-time.
City continued to be sloppy in the second-half but managed to go ahead just as the pressure was mounting, with Kevin De Bruyne tucking away a penalty after Gabriel Jesus was fouled in the box.
Phil Foden and Riyad Mahrez were then introduced and their quality tipped the match into City's favour as they both scored in a clinical final half an hour. Pep Guardiola's side are now into the hat for the semi-final draw.
