Arsenal’s North London Derby nerves increase with ‘Cedric against Son’ the main cause for worry

Here it is, the North London Derby. The most important match of Arsenal’s season for more than simply the result and bragging rights. Arsenal can claim a guaranteed spot in the top four and qualification for the Champions League with a victory.

There has already been big team news for both Arsenal and Tottenham as the Gunners are given a boost with both Bukayo Saka and Ben White making the squad. However, Spurs have been dealt a massive blow as Cristian Romero misses out.

Whilst White made the squad, he was not deemed fit enough to start and only makes the bench. With Cedric Soares’ defensive concerns a worry for the Arsenal fan base, this dominated much of the reaction from the Arsenal supporters.

It was unsurprising to see people nervous about the team selection. Perhaps even with people’s dream team the nerves would still be in place considering the magnitude of the match.

However, that said, the response from the fans in the whole was one of unified support. The fans in the ground will need to be super loud to drown out the home crowd and the online supporters are playing their part.

Come on lads indeed. It cannot be underestimated how huge this win would be for both Arsenal and the detrimental impact it could have on Tottenham.

Just over 90 minutes remain between Arsenal and potential confirmation of Champions League football for next season. Make sure to follow the rest of the coverage on our matchday blog.
