Antony spotted at Old Trafford for Manchester United vs Crystal Palace

Manchester United winger Antony is at Old Trafford to watch his side's Premier League clash against Crystal Palace.

The 23-year-old has been unavailable for United since the international break amid allegations of abuse made against him by a former girlfriend. He denies the accusations and voluntarily agreed to meet with Greater Manchester Police [GMP] earlier this week.

United confirmed in a statement on Friday that Antony would be reintegrated into the squad upon his return to England. A statement read: “Since allegations were first made in June, Antony has cooperated with police inquiries in both Brazil and the UK, and he continues to do so.

"As Antony’s employer, Manchester United has decided that he will resume training at Carrington, and be available for selection, while police inquiries proceed. This will be kept under review pending further developments in the case.

"As a club, we condemn acts of violence and abuse. We recognise the importance of safeguarding all those involved in this situation, and acknowledge the impact these allegations have on survivors of abuse."

Antony was spotted arriving at United's Carrington training ground on Saturday morning and was present at Old Trafford for the meeting with Palace. He was not named in the squad.

Erik ten Hag said in his Friday press conference that the Brazilian winger should be fit to feature when called upon, with Tuesday's Champions League clash at home to Galatasaray a potential return date.

Manchester United are back in the Champions League after an impressive first season in charge for Erik ten Hag.
