Antony and Lisandro Martinez - Manchester United injury latest ahead of FA Cup final vs Man City

“There's still one game to go,” Erik ten Hag underlined when he took to the Old Trafford pitch to address Manchester United fans following Sunday’s 2-1 final day win over Fulham.

The Reds have the chance of a cup double and simultaneously ending Manchester City's treble dream in Saturday’s FA Cup final. Ten Hag’s maiden year will go down a success regardless of what happens at Wembley.

But a trophy lift would undoubtedly turn a good season into an excellent one. United will not be at full strength against their city rivals but were handed a boost ahead of the win over Fulham.

That was regarding the fitness of Antony, who had to be taken off on a stretcher half-an-hour into Thursday’s 4-1 win over Chelsea. Ten Hag said post-match that the injury looked “serious” but gave a more hopeful update on Sunday.

He said: "We've all seen how he came off and didn't look great. But the first assessment is not too bad and a good opportunity he is available for the Cup final next week."

Possible return date: June 3

The midfielder looks to have played his final game for United this season, and possibly forever. Sabitzer’s knee injury ahead of the 2-0 win over Wolves earlier this month ended his campaign.

The January loanee is due to return to parent club Bayern Munich next month with a decision on his future not yet made. He will still get a medal should United win the FA Cup having featured in earlier round, including the quarter-final win over Fulham in which he scored.
