'Annoying' Man United star is my flop of the season - nothing's ever his fault
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has been surprisingly named as the club's 'flop of the season' by a former Liverpool defender.
Fernandes was handed the armband by previous manager Erik ten Hag in his second season at the club, replacing Harry Maguire. Since taking on the captaincy full time, the Portuguese midfielder has fronted up to questions from the media following poor performances and has shown more maturity on the pitch.
However, according to ex-Premier League star Neil Ruddock, Fernandes has been the Reds' most disappointing player so far this campaign. "The one player I would seriously like to mention is Bruno Fernandes," he told 10bet.

"I could have picked any of his teammates from Manchester United for my flop of the season so far, but I’m going to go with the captain. I don’t like him.
"He’s annoying. He annoys me. He's always moaning, chucking his hands up in the air and then, you know, everything. Nothing's ever his fault.
"He doesn’t behave like a captain. He’s not following in the footsteps of Manchester United captains with the way he wears the armband.
"Behave yourself and get on with it, Bruno." In what has been a poor season for United so far, Fernandes has managed four goals and seven assists.
However, he will be wanting to add to that tally between now and the end of the campaign under the leadership of new boss Ruben Amorim. The Portuguese head coach is preparing for his first match in charge of the Reds at Old Trafford this evening when United welcome Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League.
