Ange Postecoglou racks up Celtic's best run in 29 years but insists he's after incredible Brendan Rodgers total

The sun may have finally popped out after a long winter but Ange Postecoglou isn’t ready to stick the big jacket up the loft just yet.

Which is a neat insight in to Celtic boss.

The forecast looks bright around Parkhead after Postecoglou managed to come out of the bleak months on a 30 match unbeaten run and the second best domestic record of the last 29 years.

But typically, the Hoops boss is eyeing the best one.

It’ll take some doing catching the Brendan Rodgers inspired British record of 69 without loss but he’s closing in on the Rangers total of 36 achieved under Walter Smith in 1993.

Postecoglou won’t rest until the honours are wrapped up though and even though spring hit Lennoxtown yesterday but the manager quipped: “I’m not convinced just yet mate. I’ll need a few days more evidence before the big coat goes away.”

Postecoglou has put together plenty of recent evidence to support a title claim but it’s more about having pride in how his side have constructed this 30 match unbeaten streak.

The championship is far from wrapped up though, and there’s no point in settling for second best when you can shoot for the out of this world Rodgers tally.
