Amanda Holden details reason for American break after being seen stripping off at Britain's Got Talent

Amanda Holden has told fans the reason behind her recent American break as she returned to the UK amid Britain's Got Talent hitting screens. The TV and radio star took a two-and-a-half-week trip across the pond as she spent time away from her duties on Heart Breakfast which she hosts with Jamie Theakston.

During her trip, Amanda was seen causing a stir with fellow Heart Radio star Ashley Roberts as the former Pussycat Doll accidentally flashed as they posed for the camera together during their trip to Hollywood. The pair were also seen dining out with Piers Morgan, Gary Lineker and James Arthur as they all jetted stateside.

But as she returned to work on Monday morning (April 17), Amanda explained the main reason for her trip while dazzling her followers in a figure-hugging dress. The 52-year-old looked amazing as she slipped into the brightly coloured midi gown, which hugged down to her calves and boasted a plunging v-neckline and long bell sleeves.

The BGT judge, actress and singer could be seen placing one arm up as she struck a pose to best show off the green dress, which she paired with a pair of pointed white heels. While modelling the eye-cathcing number, Amanda told fans she was excited to be back after "two and a half weeks" off looking at "universities for her daughter".

And it comes after Amanda gave fans a look at what she gets up to behind the scenes at Britain's Got Talent as the hit talent show burst back onto our screens over the weekend. The 16th series kicked off on Saturday night before returning on Sunday with a double helping of the pre-recorded auditions.
