All traffic stopped on M6 near Greater Manchester after lorry catches fire - live updates
All traffic has been held on the M6 this morning (July 18) after a lorry reportedly caught fire at around 10:50am.
The motorway is blocked between Junction 27 (Standish) and J28 (Leyland), causing severe delays in both directions.
An update on traffic website Inrix says: "M6 in both directions blocked, severe delays due to lorry fire from J27 A5209 Crow Orchard Road (Standish) to J28 B5256 Leyland Way (Leyland)."
