Alison Hammond sends message to fans after being favoured over Holly Willoughby as she reveals holiday location in first glimpse

Alison Hammond has sent a message to her fans after ditching the UK for a sun-soaked, and what appears to be a fun-filled, break. The presenter was last seen on This Morning on Friday (August 11) when she was drafted in for one day only to co-host alongside Josie Gibson.

Josie was left without a co-host after Craig Doyle headed off on holiday before the week was out. But the ITV daytime show's usual Friday host came to the rescue. After welcoming viewers to the show and complimenting each other's looks, Josie told Alison: "Al, thank you for being here with me today, 'cos you're meant to be on holiday," to which Alison replied: "I only did it because of you really, I love ya. I'm going tomorrow, I've changed my flights just for you."

As Josie then leant in for a hug, Alison added: "It's what we do," before minutes later blaming the fact she was meant to be on holiday for her messing up some of the script, joking: "Mentally, I'm on the plane!"

And on Wednesday (August 16), Alison took to social media to update fans about her trip revealing she was in Flordia. Posting a Reel on Instagram, the 48-year-old could be seen enjoying a trip to Disneyworld in Orlando.

The video featured a number of images and videos of Alison, her son Aidan and her own special guests, who appeared to be her godsons, enjoying what the most magical place on earth had to offer. And Alison was clearly getting into the spirit of Disney as she walked around in a pair of glittery Minnie Mouse ears.
