Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary forced off screen as 'fire' breaks out in ITV This Morning studio
Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary were ushered off-screen by 'firefighters' after a blaze broke out in the This Morning studio. The presenters were back at the helm of the ITV programme on Tuesday (October 17) when the show was suddenly thrown into chaos.
Alison, 48, and Dermot, 50, present This Morning together every Friday and have regularly stood in for former hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield during the summer holidays over the years. But it appears they have now been 'confirmed' as the new presenters following Holly's exit last week, which saw her quit after 14 years, as Dermot appeared to announce that he and Alison would be hosting the show for the foreseeable future.
Sharing a photo of himself and Alison posing in front of a 'This Morning' sign behind the scenes, Dermot said: "Looking forward to joining you for the next couple of weeks on @thismorning with @alisonhammond55 - join us today where we’re chatting to @francis_bourgeois43 and @julietsear is in the kitchen with some Halloween goodies!".

The duo returned to host the programme on Tuesday, welcoming a range of guests including 'Mrs Doubtfire'. But during an interview with the film favourite, the show erupted in chaos after a fire alarm rang out.
As smoke quickly engulfed the This Morning kitchen, Mrs Doubtfire stood up and said 'gosh there's a fire', before running over to get a cake out of the oven and burning her dress. Firemen then appeared in the studio, as well as 'This Morning crew', as the hosts were suddenly 'evacuated' from the ITV studio with Alison telling
