ITV This Morning confirms 'perfect pairing' to replace Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary

This Morning has confirmed who will be taking over from Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary to present the flagship ITV daytime programme.

Taking to social media on Friday, October 27, This Morning confirmed Josie Gibson and Rylan Clark would be hosting the programme next week. The pair are thought to be covering for the October half term holiday.

Posting a photo of the pair, the account confirmed via Twitter and Instagram: "Join @Josiestweet and @Rylan next week on #ThisMorning! Tune in from 10am on @ITV1, @WeAreSTV and @ITVX".

The show had previously been presented by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby for years, with Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary taking on the Friday slot each week. Josie has been a regular presenter on the show alongside the likes of Craig Doyle, Rochelle Humes and many more names.

However it's been a while since Rylan appeared on the show, having last co-hosted This Morning alongside Ruth Langsford last summer. Reacting to the announcement on Instagram, one fan said of Josie and Rylan: "Couldn’t wish for a better pairing. So looking forward to next week".

Another said: "Oh my god can’t wait, love them both" while a third commented: "Oh delighted Rylan is back love him" as a fourth cheered: "Yes Rylan!!" Another person wrote: "Fab pairing" while another agreed: "Brilliant these two together will be great".
