Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund send same message after Manchester United defeat vs Copenhagen

Manchester United pair Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund each sent a rallying call to supporters after Wednesday's 4-3 Champions League defeat by FC Copenhagen.

United suffered their third European defeat in four matches on a dramatic night at Parken Stadium. They were both 2-0 and 3-2 up at different points but after losing Marcus Rashford to a red card, collapsed at the end of either half to concede four goals.

Erik ten Hag's side were again hoped to kick on after last weekend's hard-fought 1-0 win over Fulham but faced another midweek setback. They host newly promoted Luton Town in the final game before the international break on Saturday and Garnacho insists the team remain 'together'.

Alongside a picture of the players celebrating Bruno Fernandes' penalty, the Argentinian wrote: "We ALL stay together. Go again Saturday."

Reds teammate Hojlund experienced a bittersweet return to his boyhood club in Copenhagen. He netted two goals in the opening 28 minutes and looked to have put his side in the driving seat, but unfortunately fell to defeat on a frantic night in the Danish capital.

But the 20-year-old shared Garnacho's sentiment, sharing a picture of his own celebration and writing: "Heads up reds! We go again on Saturday."

United now face a huge challenge to try and progress into the Champions League knockout stages after dropping into fourth place with Wednesday's defeat. Ten Hag's side will be eliminated if they lose their next fixture, away at Galatasaray - a ground where they have never won.
