Air ambulance scrambled with M62 closed westbound after 'vehicle overturns' - latest updates
An air ambulance has been scrambled to the scene of a collision on the M62 this evening with the whole westbound carriageway closed off.
Emergency services are on the scene of the incident, reportedly involving a vehicle that has overturned. A huge closure is in place between J24 (Huddersfield) and J22 (Rishworth Moor).
Traffic is currently stopped with a Yorkshire Air Ambulance circling the scene overhead. Further details about the collision have not yet been confirmed.

The latest update on Inrix reads: "Road cleared, overturned vehicle removed on M62 Westbound from J23 A640 New Hey Road (Huddersfield) to J22 A672 (Rishworth Moor)."
Two people have been injured in the collision this evening, the Yorkshire Ambulance Service has confirmed.
They were called at 6.34pm to the collision, beside J23 on the westbound carriageway.
Two ambulances and a rapid response vehicle were sent to the scene.
The air ambulance and hazardous area response team were also deployed but have since been stood down.
It is currently thought the injuries sustained are not life-threatening or serious.
An update from the West Yorkshire Fire Service tonight reads: "Road traffic collisions between 2 cars, 1 vehicle was on its side. 1 person rescued by fire service from overturned vehicle and in care or Yorkshire Ambulance."
Further details about their condition have not yet been confirmed.
