AEW: Top stars congratulate new TNT Champion Wardlow

Last night’s AEW Dynamite crowned as the TNT Championship was on the line between Scorpio Sky and Wardlow. A top AEW team congratulated the new champion via Twitter.

The opening contest for Dynamite saw TNT Champion Scorpio Sky defend his championship against Wardlow in a street fight. Sky was accompanied to the ring by multiple members of the American Top Team. 

Sky would struggle to get control of the match as the speed and power of Wardlow threw the champion off his game, and for the majority of the match, Mr Mayhem dominated. 

Scorpio Sky came close to picking up the victory after numerous distractions from ATT led to the champion hitting Wardlow in the face with the TNT Championship, but somehow he kicked out at 2. 

The closing moments saw Wardlow dispose of each ATT member with him throwing one onto the rest on the outside. He followed up with a Powerbomb Symphony to Sky and pinning him to win the TNT Championship dominantly. 

Wardlow celebrated his win as his year gets better since signing his official AEW contract at Double Or Nothing. 

Wardlow was congratulated by numerous talent and higher-ups for his well-deserved accomplishment. The most notable of these were from ROH, IWGP and AAA Tag Team Champions FTR, who took a photo with the new Champion, showcasing all the gold.

Dax captioned the photo “Pinnacle”, giving fans a throwback to the former stable in AEW, which included FTR and Wardlow.

Wardlow’s TNT Championship win is his first taste of gold in AEW and we are now most certainly living in Wardlow’s world.
