AEW Dynamite Results: FTR retain in historic main event.

Last night’s edition of AEW Dynamite saw FTR defend the AAA and ROH Tag Team Titles against the Young Bucks. Also Adam Cole, Christian, Julia Hart and The Hardys were in action.

Plus the in-ring debut of new AEW and ROH signee Samoa Joe.

Adam Cole def Chrisitan Cage-

A sold-out AEW crowd was extremely vocal for this match, showcasing their love and respect for both Cole and Cage.The match saw both men scout each other extremely well demonstrating their experience through the ring IQ to perform numerous counters.However, a poke to the eyes by Cole gave him an opening to drop Christian with the BOOM and pick up another win in his quest to dethrone the AEW World Champion, Hangman Adam Page.

After the match, Page emerged from the back to confront Adam Cole. He granted Cole his title match but the stipulation would be revealed to be a Texas Deathmatch and it will take place next week’s Rampage in Page’s home state of Texas.

Samoa Joe def Max Caster- Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Qualifier.

Caster came out in classic Caster action rapping about Samoa Joe and even taking a shot at Joe being injury prone as well as AEW beating NXT in the ratings when Samoa Joe was champion.

This would come back to haunt Caster even though he got a few shots in on the Samoan Submission Machine. A Muscle Buster was all it took for Joe to qualify and get his first AEW win.
