AEW: Kenny Omega not expected to be back for Double or Nothing.

“The Best Bout Machine” has been out of action for a while with a miscellaneous of injuries sustained during his AEW World Championship reign, and it seems he won’t be returning anytime soon.

Former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega has been out of action since his AEW World Championship match with Hangman Adam Page when he lost the belt after becoming the longest reigning AEW World Champion of all time.

It was previously reported that Omega would require multiple surgeries with different recovery times, so it seems unliekly that Omega will return in time for May.

We have seen snippets of a potential Omega return as we have seen Don Callis address the AEW fans at the Revolution PPV in March and Omega himself addressing the fans at the AEW Awards on the company’s YouTube channel.

Dave Meltzer recently reported on the status of Kenny Omega on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, that even though there are so many potential angles for Omega to be involved with, he believes that Omega won’t be back in time for the May PPV.

Meltzer made it clear that it is haping up for Cole and reDragon v Young Bucks and Omega. However, the priority could be to get Kenny back or even make an appearance at either AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door or a non-wrestling appearance at the Double or Nothing PPV.

When Omega returns there is no doubt it will shake up the wrestling world but it is only a matter of time until the Best Bout Machine returns.

You can watch AEW internationally on FITE TV.
