Adam Idah in Celtic transfer tease as social media love bombing has fans all demanding the same thing

The Atlantic Ocean may separate them just now, but Adam Idah is all over Celtic's impressive pre-season tour of the States.

Brendan Rodgers' side rounded off their pre-season in the USA by smashing Chelsea 4-1 at Notre Dame. That eye-catching result comes off the back of a 4-3 win over English Premier League champions Man City and a 4-0 cruise against DC United in Washington. Friendlies or not, the champions look sharp with the Premiership opener against Kilmarnock just a week away.

Rodgers wants at least one new striker in before the end of the window and his desire to bring Idah back from Norwich after last season's loan spell is no secret. Canaries boss Johannes Hoff Thorup however, insists the big Irishman is part of his plans and the Carrow Road club are thought to be seeking £8million to let Idah leave, so some haggling may be required to do a deal.

It seems Idah is keen on a permanent Parkhead return though and he was loving what he saw from his former teammates against Enzo Maresca's Blues. He took to Instagram in the wake of the South Bend win for the Boys to show his appreciation with a love heart eyes emoji.

And that has got fans back on his transfer trail, urging Celtic to get a deal to bring him back to Glasgow. One replied with a request for Idah to get "up eh road" while another simply stated: "Get him signed!" Another simply can't take the will he won't he, coming back with a tongue in cheek response of: "He's f****** teasing us and it's not fair."
