Adam Idah facing real Celtic judgement days as Chris Sutton makes summer transfer prediction

Chris Sutton has told Adam Idah when he will REALLY be judged as a Celtic player.

The Hoops hero admits the Norwich City striker has made 'one hell of a start' to life under Brendan Rodgers at the Scottish champions. And two key areas of his game have really impressed the former Parkhead star turned pundit from the weekend comeback win over Motherwell at Fir Park.

The hitman climbed off the bench at half-time to replace Kyogo Furuhashi and instantly repaid Rodgers' show of faith with a bullet header beyond Liam Kelly. He then bagged his and Celtic's second of the afternoon four minutes into added-time at the end of the 90 minutes to spark wild scenes in the dugout and in the stands hosting the travelling support.

Sutton is delighted how he has started and hopes he continues to kick on. He is certain he will want a permanent stay should he impress but with no agreed option in the contract from the English Championship side, the former striker reckons the Italian clubs who showed interest before his move to Glasgow could come sniffing around once again.

Writing in his Pinkun column, Sutton said: "Adam Idah has taken to life at Celtic like a duck to water, and that is only good news for Norwich City. I don't think I've ever seen him header it like he did against Motherwell. It was full of quality and confidence.

"It's early days, but he looks like a slightly different player at Celtic. It's not fair to say he was going through the motions at Norwich, but you always felt there was more in there to be extracted. The way Idah used his body and his physicality really impressed me. He held up the ball well and had defenders bouncing off him. His second finish was brilliant. It's not an easy one, but it was a big goal.
