Chris Sutton spots a FIB in Neil Warnock's Aberdeen farewell as Celtic hero hits the giggles at one thing he said

His time in the cinch was short and not so sweet but we'll never forget Neil Warnock.

Chris Sutton certainly won't anyway, as the Celtic hero was left in fits of laughter after spotting a FIB in his final Aberdeen farewell. Warnock came, saw, and didn't quite conquer as he left Pittodrie after just 33 days in charge. He was drafted in as an interim replacement for Barry Robson but announced after their Scottish Cup win over Kilmarnock that he was calling it a day already after failing to win a Premiership game.

In his farewell address last Saturday, he alluded to the Aberdeen board having his replacement already lined up - something the club contradicted 48 hours later when they announced plans to undertake interviews this week. Elfsborg's Jimmy Thelin recently emerged as a contender but an appointment is not imminent at this stage, likely to come during the upcoming international break.

The situation was a talking point on the Daily Mail's It's All Kicking off podcast as Ian Ladyman steered the chat round to Pittodrie. When he introduced the topic, Sutton was heard sniggering, and Ladyman said: "You're laughing, and I know why you're laughing, but it's embarrassing for Scottish football. Aberdeen are a big Scottish football club with a big reputation and European pedigree. They should be better than that and Scottish football should be better than that. People are looking at Scottish football and sniggering, I don't like that."
