A6 Stockport Road closed after 'police chase ends in crash' at Danforth Grove - latest updates

One of the main roads in and out of Manchester is closed after a crash late on Monday night. The A6 Stockport Road at Danforth Grove is shut in both directions.

It is understood the crash involved an Audi that was being pursued by police from Cheshire. Sources at the scene say the Audi was involved in a collision with a Mercedes Benz at around 10pm. Witnesses report that one person was seen being arrested.

A number of police officers are still in attendance. While it is not currently known if any injuries have been reported, it is understood there have been no reports of ambulances being seen at the scene.
