A4119 Corporation Road in Cardiff closed after collision near Principality Stadium - latest updates

The A4119 Corporation Road in Cardiff remains closed in both directions overnight as a result of a collision on Sunday evening.

The road - near the Principality Stadium - is closed due to a crash from Penhevad Street to the A4160 Penarth Road. The incident was first reported at around 7.30pm on Sunday but the road remains closed during the early hours.

Traffic around the road is reported to be moving relatively freely despite the closure. Google Maps showed some minor congestion on Corporation Road on the approach to its junction with Penhevad Street near Grange Gardens and the Grange Fish Bar fish and chip shop at around 1am.

An update from traffic monitoring service Inrix at 12.02am on Monday said: "A4119 in both directions closed due to accident from Penhevad Street to A4160 Penarth Road. Traffic is coping well."
