Large house fire near off-campus Swansea University halls of residence - latest updates

Fire crews are tackling a "large house fire" near an off-campus Swansea University halls of residence. The blaze started on Hendrefoilan Avenue in Swansea late on Sunday night.

Emergency services are on the scene. Firefighters have been tackling the blaze into the early hours of Monday morning.

The location of the fire is near the off-campus Swansea University Hendrefoelan Student Village. Police are on the scene in addition to firefighters.

A spokesperson for South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said crews are dealing with "a large house fire". South Wales Police say there are "no immediate concerns" and the incident is being dealt with.

In a tweet at 11.48pm on Sunday, South Wales Police Control Room said: "Both Police and Fire crews are in attendance at an incident in HENDREFOILAN AVENUE. This is currently being dealt with and there are no immediate concerns."
