£85m star with 'no limits' can solve Man United transfer issue - and Thierry Henry loves him

Manchester United are expected to be busy in the transfer market this summer.

The Reds moved quickly to secure the £62.5million signing of Matheus Cunha and are making progress in their bid to sign Bryan Mbeumo in a move in excess of £60million.

Those two players scored 37 goals between them last season and could occupy the two attacking midfield slots in Ruben Amorim's 3-4-2-1 formation.

United's lack of goals last season was a real issue and signing a new forward is a priority this summer.

Manchester United have launched their new home kit for the 2025/26 season with an Adidas shirt paying tribute to Old Trafford.

Fans can order their Men's, Women's and Kid's shirt today.

However, Amorim is keen to sign a new midfielder, too, to bring competition for the likes of Bruno Fernandes, Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo.

Links to who that midfielder may be have been few and far between but talk of a move for teenage midfielder Warren Zaire-Emery has tentatively emerged this week.

The 19-year-old is already a France international and a serial trophy-winner with PSG, and first came to the attention of English football fans with an excellent performance against Newcastle United in the Champions League back in 2023 when he was just 17.

Despite Les Parisiens losing the game at St James' Park, Zaire-Emery stood out as one of the best players on the pitch.

He caught the eye of former Arsenal and Barcelona forward Thierry Henry that evening, while he was working as a pundit for CBS Sports, and he later made him the captain of France Under-21s while he was manager.

"The way Warren Zaire-Emery is playing, it is normal to run the show at just 17 years old," Henry said.

"He was the only one that held his ground at St James’ Park.
