A goalmouth scramble following a Paulo Bernardo shot eventually saw Daizen Maeda's shot blocked on the line by Max Kucheriavyi at point blank range in the six-yard box. A VAR check for handball ensued - but the man in the middle was not sent to the monitor to review the flashpoint.
