Why Manchester United have the edge on PSG in Rasmus Hojlund transfer pursuit

Manchester United should have the edge on PSG when it comes to their pursuit of Rasmus Hojlund because the player is a self-confessed United fan.

MEN Sport reported this week that United are confident of signing a striker before they face Wolves on the August 14. Hojlund is their primary target after receiving no encouragement from Tottenham that a deal to sign Harry Kane would be possible.

United are willing to pay up to £60million for the Danish striker and believe in Erik ten Hag's ability to mould him into one of Europe's finsest attackers.

Hojlund wants the move himself despite reported interest from PSG. Fortunately for United, the 20-year-old grew up as a United fan and that might help sway him towards Old Trafford if a fee is agreed.
