Kevin De Bruyne misses out on the Manchester City squad after failing to recover from the injury he sustained against Inter.

De Bruyne did not return for the second half of their Champions League match on Wednesday after feeling discomfort in his thigh.

The medical staff told Pep Guardiola at the interval that he needed to be taken off. Guardiola did not think that the injury was serious though, and refused to rule the player out for the weekend after hearing that he felt better before training.

However, there was no sign of De Bruyne off the City bus when it arrived at the Etihad and the Belgian was not named in the squad to take on Arsenal.
