Ellis is set to make its highly anticipated debut on the small screen but when can viewers expect to tune in? The new Channel 5 series follows two detectives as they tackle seemingly impossible cases that have reached a dead end with actors Sharon D Clarke and Andrew Gower leading the cast.

As audiences eagerly await the premiere, here's everything you need to know about Ellis. The wait is almost over, as Ellis is set to premiere on Halloween night, Thursday, October 31, at 8pm on Channel 5.

Additionally, the show will be available to stream on Acorn TV from Monday, November 4. Actress Sharon D Clarke takes on the lead role of DCI Ellis, a police officer described as both "compassionate and determined".

Clarke is known for her roles in Holby City, where she played Lola Griffin from 2003 to 2019, and more recently in the BBC drama Mr Loverman.
