Dashcam footage has revealed the moment a lorry crashed through a safety barrier and fell off the Thelwall Viaduct on the M6 on Monday night (September 30).

The HGV was sent plummeting down to the ground, landing at the bottom of an embankment around 30 feet below the motorway bridge.

The driver, a 56-year-old man, sustained minor injuries in the incident and is set to be discharged from hospital, Cheshire Police have now revealed. Dramatic photos taken after the collision showed the true extent of the damage caused to a HGV, which crashed to the ground before overturning.
