2022 was Bennetts British Superbike Championship’s biggest ever season with no less than 33 races across the 11 rounds and it again saw some superb racing with 10 different race winners before Bradley Ray eventually came out on top.

The Kent rider clinched his maiden BSB title in the opening race at the final round at Brands Hatch to conclude a superb season for the Rich Energy OMG Racing Yamaha rider.

Nine wins and a total of 23 podiums were more than any other rider making him a deserved winner. Three wins at the opening round and a double at the final enabled Honda Racing’s Glenn Irwin to have his best ever BSB season whilst perennial bridesmaid Tommy Bridewell again had a strong year in third place overall on the Oxford Products Racing Ducati.

The McAMS Yamaha duo of Jason O’Halloran and 2021 champion Tarran Mackenzie took a total of 10 wins and 22 podiums between them but ultimately saw injuries derail their campaigns.
