Celtic have been offered fresh hope of signing Vinicius Souza with the Brazilian reportedly yet to make a final decision on whether to join PSV.
The Lommell star has been in high demand this summer with a host of clubs across Europe keen to land him. Real Betis, Schalke, Ajax, Fenerbahce and Celtic were all in the mix.
But PSV Eindhoven emerged as the favourites to land the 23-year-old. The Eredivisie outfit were claimed to be Souza’s preferred destination this summer and were close to finalising a transfer despite widespread competition.
And while that may well still be the case, reports in the Netherlands say that players’ agents have denied that a deal has been done to join Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side, and that a decision will be made next week.
