Tottenham Hotspur have accepted that they will have to make a loss on Tanguy Ndombele and Giovanni Lo Celso this summer as the club looks to off load some of its higher earners, according to Charlie Eccleshare of The Athletic. Antonio Conte has overseen some exciting additions at Hotspur Way this summer but the focus may now turn to off-loading unwanted players.

Six new signings have been made this summer, including the likes of Richarlison and Ivan Perisic, while only two first-team squad members have departed.

Winger Steven Bergwijn was snapped up by Ajax for £28 million while Cameron Carter-Vickers made his move to Celtic permanent, in a £6.3 million deal.

However, there are several other players who are surplus to requirements at the club still. Harry Winks and Sergio Reguillon were left out of Conte’s squad for their pre-season trip to South Korea, alongside Lo Celso and Ndombele, with the latter two were signed for a combined £110 million in the summer of 2019 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
