Third man charged with murder over death of 'gentle giant' Warren Burns

Detectives investigating a fatal attack on a dad from south Manchester have charged a third man with murder. Warren Burns, 37, died following an incident at a property on Heysham Avenue in Withington on May 21.

Today (Saturday) Greater Manchester Police said officers have charged a third man with murder. READ MORE: Join the FREE Manchester Evening News WhatsApp community Ryan White, 28, of no fixed abode, appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court this morning where he was remanded in custody, according to GMP.

Siblings Brandon White, 20, of Radstock Close, Fallowfield, and Damian White, 33, of Woodham Road, Northern Moor, have previously been charged with murder.

They appeared at Manchester Crown Court on Wednesday. No pleas were entered. Following his death, Mr Burns' family paid tribute to him.

The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) on Wednesday imposed a life ban on five former Olympians for trying to form a parallel body. PHF President Tariq Bugti said that former Olympian and internationals Nasir Ali, Khalid Bashir, Saleem Nazim, Abbas Ali and Haider Ali had been banned for life. "The PHF found them guilty of trying to run a parallel federation, stealing PHF records and using funds from a PHF account without approval," Bugti said.
