Taylor Harwood-Bellis and CJ Egan-Riley transfer update as Burnley close in on Man City pair

CJ Egan-Riley and Taylor Harwood-Bellis are set to be confirmed as Burnley players this week as Vincent Kompany raids his old club to further bolster his squad.

The pair will follow Scott Twine and Luke McNally into Turf Moor as the Clarets look to tie up early business ahead of a return to the Championship.

Harwood-Bellis will join Burnley on loan while Egan-Riley will be a permanent move. The latter is keen for first team football and the lure of Kompany helped Burnley see off competition from other clubs.

The 19-year-old has come through the tanks at City and has represented England at age-group level. Born and raised in Manchester, the centre back has been at the Etihad Stadium for more than a decade.
