Nottingham Forest 'agree' another transfer as flop nears Man City exit

Nottingham Forest have reportedly "agreed" a deal to sign Burnley's Wayne Hennessey. The Clarets stopper is set to sign for the Reds on a free transfer to bolster Steve Cooper's ranks in goal having seen Brice Samba leave for Rennes and Ethan Horvarth join Luton Town on loan.

Hennessey is under contract until the end of next season but it is being claimed that a move to the City Ground would be a free transfer by the Daily Mail.

When the 35 year-old arrives he will compete with Dean Henderson, the Manchester United loanee, for the number one spot in Cooper's side.

Hennessey made only two appearances for relegated Burnley last season and the departure of Nick Pope to Newcastle United means new Turf Moor boss Vincent Kompany is looking for a first choice goalkeeper.
